Inner Healing

In the letter of Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 3 we find the basis for inner healing. It puts us in touch with the Risen Lord.

For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that He may grant you in accord with the riches of His glory to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self and that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith that you rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians Ch 3:14-19).

The Samaritan woman in the Gospels is an example of inner healing. We see that Jesus begins a relationship with her. He touches her inner wounds of the pain in her life. We are all dysfunctional in one way or another. But our "free will" is never taken away from us. We always have the choices with God's grace to stop the "bad behaviors".

Jesus assumed everything in our humanity except for sin. He did this in order to redeem everything in us. The Eucharist has the power to heal every family. God transforms us by His healing power.

We need to repent and ask the Lord to break us free from the chains of sin. We need to pray for our family members the living and the dead.
